Position Overview
The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in the Aftermarket business segment, focusing on the analysis and interpretation of data to drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements. This position requires a deep understanding of statistical modeling and data analytics to support the Aftermarket team in optimizing processes, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets related to aftermarket sales, inventory, and customer behavior.
  • Utilize statistical modeling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, related but not limited to fleet maintenance events, maintenance costs, flight hours, cycles, component replacement lifespans and usage patterns.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast demand, sales, and inventory requirements.
  • Reporting and Visualization:
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement data visualization tools to communicate key insights effectively.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving aftermarket operations.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions, including pricing strategies, product lifecycle management, and customer retention programs.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the aftermarket segment.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to measure and track progress.
  • Customer Insights and Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand industry trends and customer needs.
  • Analyze customer feedback and behavior to develop actionable insights for enhancing customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with IT, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related field, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS).
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with database management and query languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior management and stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
