    Join a dynamic team at the forefront of Cyber Security initiatives within the Technology Department of a local government organization. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to contribute to a significant Cyber Security Program of work, with a key focus on uplifting our Cyber Security controls. If you’re passionate about safeguarding sensitive data and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
    Position Overview: As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in assisting the project team to deploy robust Cyber Security measures while collaborating on various other projects within the local government. Reporting to the Team Leader Business Analysis, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our Cyber Security posture.

Qualifications and Experience: Essential

  • Experience as a Cyber Security Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in mapping and documenting business processes.
  • Ability to document functional and non-functional system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder collaboration.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills

Responsibilities:

Cyber Security Program Initiatives:

  • Deploy consistent Identity and Access Management (IDAM) services.
  • Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) mechanisms to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Establish a Security Operations Centre (SOC) for proactive threat monitoring.
  • Develop a structured document management system for Cyber Security documentation.

Business Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze Cyber Security requirements.
  • Identify areas of risk and missing requirements.
  • Document Cyber Security requirements for program implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to track security requirements.

General:

  • Work closely with the Business Analysis Team to maintain quality standards.
  • Promote organizational values of Dream Big, Empower Each Other, and Make our Community Proud.
  • Adhere to the local government’s commitment to creating a safe environment for children.

Qualifications and Experience: Essential

  • Experience as a Cyber Security Business Analyst in an Agile environment.

  • Strong workshop facilitation skills.

Desirable:

  • Understanding or experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK).
  • Exposure to Office 365 products (SharePoint, OneDrive) and ProMapp.
