What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Business Analyst, Records Management, you’ll join the Internal Audit Professional Practices Centre ( IA PPC) Governance team to perform records management activities supporting Internal Audit. You will work closely with the Senior Records Officer for Internal Audit and provide records management and expertise, while promoting compliance with CIBC policies and procedures, standards, guidelines, and relevant legislation.

How you’ll succeed

  • Records management – Work with the IA Senior Records Officer to determine appropriate solutions to be used for the retention, destruction and anonymization of Personal Information (PI) data in Internal Audit Records and Non-Records, in compliance with existing CIBC guidelines and regulations. Work with Internal Audit’s technology partners to develop controls to ensure destruction of PI data.
  • Relationship management – Relationship manager and collaborative consultant with business partners for all matters relating to records management. Manage relationships , as well as projects and initiatives within the Internal Audit Department. Represent Internal Audit on Line of Business initiatives.
  • Business management – Support the IA PPC Governance team, work in a fast paced environment to effectively execute strategic priorities of varying complexity. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Identify and implement opportunities for improving the efficiency of processes. Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of processes and procedures.

Who you are

  • You have 5-10 years’ experience in Project Management. You can demonstrate a deep understanding of the practices, procedures, and principles required to successfully deliver large projects, from planning to implementation. Ability to analyze detailed concepts, quickly resolve project issues, and assess the advantages and disadvantages of proposed solutions.
  • You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
  • You know that details matter. You have very strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present information to groups and individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Your influence makes an impact. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.
