Description:

The Senior Business Applications Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and functionality of the company’s financial data ecosystem. They serve as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the custom financial data application operates at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Project Management Maestro: You’ll lead the charge in managing projects that enhance functionalities related to client financial reporting, encompassing budgets, financial statements, and more.
Data Detective: Your keen eye will identify areas for improvement within the custom financial data app. By recommending and implementing technical solutions, you’ll ensure the system remains robust and adaptable.
Technical Translator: Bridging the gap between business needs and development teams, you’ll translate complex financial requirements into clear and concise technical specifications.
Data Quality Champion: Maintaining high-quality data is paramount. You’ll oversee efforts to ensure data accuracy and implement business intelligence tools for insightful analysis and reporting.
Financial Reporting Expert: Extracting accurate data for client financial reporting is crucial. You’ll manage this process and develop clear reporting formats for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
Knowledge Disseminator: Empowering internal staff is key. You’ll provide training on the Annual Information Return functionality and other financial reporting features within the custom app.
Business Intelligence Guru: Recommending cutting-edge data visualization and analysis tools is within your domain. This ensures client financial data is transformed into actionable insights for informed decision-making.
Academic Foundation: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required.
Financial Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles for non-profit and government entities.
Database Dexterity: Demonstrate knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and proficiency in using SQL queries for data extraction.
Business Intelligence Savvy: Be proficient in business intelligence software like Power BI and Tableau.
Information Security Guardian: Maintain a sound understanding of information security and data protection principles.
Software Development Expertise: Have advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (agile, patch management, etc.).
Programming Proficiency: Demonstrate working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., VB.NET, C++).
Web Development Familiarity: Be familiar with web application technologies used in the company’s custom app.
