ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking candidates interested in joining our HR Digital project (until the end of 2024) and our HR – Business Analysis and System Support (BASS) team (for the remainder of the term)! The teams are exploring a shift to new technologies and modernization of SAP HCM to fully digitize our HR systems and process. The HR Digital initiatives, which will run until the end of 2024, are focused on implementing the Talent Intelligence Hub and improving our Recruitment module. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with top-notch internal and external technology partners and drive projects that make a real impact at Canada’s Central Bank!
Led by the senior managers of HR Digital and HR BASS, you will join a dynamic and diverse team of analysts collaborating to uncover trends and opportunities while resolving complex issues within our SAP & HR systems.
Further, you will have the full support of your leader and teammates to enhance your skills, experiment, and further your career through our customizable learning and development programs across various domains (HR, SAP, IT, Analytics, etc.) and relevant certifications.

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

This position requires a completed post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g., information technology, project management, business analysis) and a minimum of six years of experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) within an HR environment or in relevant information technology, business and/or process analysis. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a preferred starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Candidates who do not meet the second official language requirement are encouraged to apply. Training maybe provided to help reach the level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will play a meaningful role in supporting and maintaining the HR business processes and HR technologies, and in advancing HR digital projects. You will provide business analysis and contribute to the development, enhancement, support and maintenance of systems that are used in our core business functions. Working in partnership with other groups, including Information Technology Services, and external technology suppliers, you will use your forward-thinking skills and expertise to coordinate test cycles, report issues and assist in exploring system improvements. You will have a key role in aligning the HR department’s strategic objectives with Bank-wide priorities and initiatives.

Specifically, you will:

  • lead investigations of system issues and leverage knowledge and experience to provide solutions/fixes
  • collaborate with the Bank’s external solution partner to assist in the design, build and deployment of identified solutions/fixes
  • lead and/or participate in the analysis phase of a variety of complex business processes by gathering and managing user requirements
  • work with internal collaborators to identify current state and future state process maps
  • support changes to business processes and enhance service delivery by managing requests for technological enhancement requests
  • assist in research to resolve issues and determining feasibility of enhancements/unused features to address business needs
  • lead, develop and implement user acceptance testing strategies, schedule resources, track test results and facilitate collaborative system and data design sessions with end users and business
  • conduct impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology, investigate trends and irregularities to identify causes
  • make recommendations for changes to processes or systems to enhance service delivery, ensure data integrity and minimize operational risk
  • lead activities for the release management cycle, including release planning, monitoring approvals and coordinating deployment to production with internal ITS resources and third-party suppliers
  • partner with other departments, including Information Technology Services, and external technology suppliers to coordinate projects and system enhancements that are aligned with the HR’s strategic objectives and Bank-wide priorities and initiatives.
