To continue delivering banking excellence across different sectors, NAB is seeking an experienced banking professional to join our specialists banking team. A banker who is passionate about growing and building relationships with clients, delivering the right outcomes - client, financial and risk - and meeting the rising community expectations of banks.
The Senior Business Banking Manager role will see you focusing and partnering with clients from a range of different sectors in Brisbane and beyond, whilst growing your expertise in and NAB’s ways of working. This exciting opportunity will see you lean on your natural ability to be innovative and strategic to ensure success within this important and evolving sector. Working within a team of highly capable bankers, who are experts across specialised sectors, you will collaborate extensively with this banker network and support functions, both in QLD and interstate. Central to this high-paced role is the responsibility for developing the strategy and delivering the customer value proposition and segmentation, gathering industry and customer insights, fostering and collaborating with industry networks, and keeping up-to-date on industry policy and the macro environment.

Our Urraween team are looking for an experienced business banker to join the team to manage a portfolio of SME customers, predominantly focussed on Brokers. This opportunity will see you focusing on tapping into and further developing your strong Broker networks, community links and new business partnerships whilst also utilising your strong Business Development skills.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY FOR ME WILL INCLUDE:

  • Develop, lead and execute business development strategy, for both existing and new to bank customers, to ensure delivery of the Business & Private Bank business plan
  • Work with the Complex Lending Solutions and Deal Structuring & Execution teams in the preparation of business lending proposals, including obtaining and analysing business and industry information, and ongoing portfolio management
  • Support the delivery of the local area’s performance as measured through customer advocacy, financial metrics and employee engagement

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLES YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • A strong and demonstrated capability in credit analysis and debt structuring
  • A broad knowledge of banking products and services, including transactional and e-commerce solutions, and how these can assist customers to grow their business and operate efficiently and successfully
  • Proven ability to collaborate widely across various business units to obtain the best outcome for our customers
  • The ability to provide technical advice and guidance to customers and other banking departments regarding debt products and deal structuring in the childcare sector
  • Substantial experience gained via working in a major financial institution in business banking and/or relationship management
  • Capability in building your own and enterprise brand in both internal and external markets.
