Description:

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER?

  • We’re looking for a high-achieving and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager, who will be at the forefront of expanding our health and social care services in Wales.
  • You’ll have experience owning business development processes, from identifying need and generating leads, through to developing solutions and winning new contracts.
  • You have a track record of achieving ambitious growth plans and supporting the development of new and exciting services.
  • You can identify person-centred solutions to complex problems in a collaborative way.
  • You are financially literate and have the ability to understand income and expenditure statements as well as budget forecasting.
Interested in ensuring the success of our service? The closing date for your application is Monday 15th April 2024. Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 22nd April.

Responsibilities:

Join our Welsh Leadership Team to shape the future of health and social care, working towards reducing health inequalities. You’ll collaborate with hospitals, community providers, primary care, and social care to offer transformative support, ultimately saving public money and generating social value. As our Strategic Business Development Manager, you’ll significantly increase our impact and the income generated through expanding commissioned services across the region.
This role is not fundraising-focused but involves driving growth plans and supporting the development of new services. With your extensive business development experience, be part of our team dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives. You’ll contribute to over 75 years of British Red Cross support for the NHS and vulnerable individuals. Join us in shaping the future of health and social care!
If you have considerable business development experience, this role could be for you! Are you ready for a change? Join us in shaping the future of health and social care.

Wondering about a day in the life of a Strategic Business Development Manager?

  • You’ll work with hospitals, community providers, primary care and social care to provide often transformative support to vulnerable people.
  • You’ll ensure people are discharged home safely and settled in and support them to build resilience at home to avoid readmission.
  • You’ll enable our teams to provide regulated care and patient transport as well as support to people on ‘virtual wards’ at home.

That’s not all, we’re constantly innovating and in many areas we’re leading the way, such as with our high intensity use programme and local coordination service. Our services impact health and social care systems positively too. We help people avoid formal social care or leave it earlier, reduce demand on A&E and ambulance services and reduce delayed hospital discharges. Our services also save public money and generate social value.
