Description:
Key Responsibilities: Our Business Development Representatives are passionate about helping our customers get the best from Meltwater’s Media Intelligence products! We are looking for a driven individual who has a keen interest in the Media, PR or Social industry and is interested in selling our World-class platform to a wide range of companies across all industries within Enterprise throughout Singapore.
The Senior Business Development Representative will be responsible for:
- Prospecting a variety companies and organizations across multiple industries in different countries across APAC
- Researching and communicating with decision makers (C & D Suite Executives, Directors and Managers) in Marketing, Strategy, Social Media, Research, PR, Communications, and/or Insight and analytics positions
- Generating interest and creating opportunities with new prospects via cold calling, email, phone, LinkedIn, etc. to build a pipeline of targeted prospects
- Researching companies and evaluating their structure and strategies to understand how best to position Meltwater’s versatile product portfolio
- Achieving activity goals relating to outbound calls, emails, and social selling
- Conducting high-level consultative conversations with C & D Level executives in prospect accounts
- Asking open-ended questions to prospects that uncover business needs and overcome objections
- Scheduling product demonstrations and collaborating with their Enterprise Account teams to qualify customers, build a pipeline, and drive deals
- Meeting and exceeding weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI’s and targets
- Leveraging lead generation & CRM tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, etc. to create relationships with prospects & manage outbound pipeline
- In addition, the Enterprise Business Development Representative may be required to work on other projects and responsibilities assigned by the manager such as collaborating with the Enterprise Marketing team for Meltwater events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:
- 4-5 years of sales/business development experience, bonus points for marketing or social media experience
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Desire to work in B2B tech sales
- Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player mentality with the ability to work independently toward ambitious goals
- Well-rounded with varied interests, background, and proven leadership experience
- Coachable, self-motivated, curious, and resilient
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Ability to articulate and present Meltwater’s value proposition to prospective clients across varied industries
- Bachelor’s degree with evidence of high achievement in academics and extracurriculars
