Job Description
Sky News Arabia (SNA) Academy aims to improve the skills of media professionals and industries leaders, by providing distinguished training programs offered by a group of the brightest media professionals and broadcasters in the Arab world.
The Senior Business Development Specialist will be dedicated to upholding an effective sales and business development strategy at SNA Academy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting training revenue streams as well as building/retaining solid business relationships with new and existing clients in its three forms, public, corporate, and academic.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, and do a comprehensive sectorial mapping to substantially increase Academy prospects pipeline.
- Establish business relationships with prospective clients and continuously work on retaining relationship with the existing clients, as assigned by Academy Head.
- Sell the Academy products/services through both traditional and innovative channels.
- Prepare training contracts ensuring adherence to standard policies and procedures in liaison with the Legal department and the Finance team.
- Achieve the assigned KPIs and sales revenue goals.
- Assist the Head of SNA Academy with the Academy’s budget forecast and monitor against actuals.
- Analyse client satisfaction surveys and translate results into qualitative and quantitative reports to the Senior Management.
Key Skills, Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Business Administration or other relevant field.
- 5 + years of proven sales and/or Business Development experience.
- Academic or Media background is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software (Customer Relationship Management).
- Strong presentation skills.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (both writing and speaking).
