I’m looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer, with strong Power BI skills in particular, to join a global organisation in their county Cork office, located a short drive from Dunmanway - this is a hybrid role, and will require you to be in the office 2 days per week to collaborate with your team and the wider business.
You will be joining their Data & Analytics team in the midst of a digital transformation as they look to revolutionise their data set-up, with plans to start utilising Microsoft Fabric on the horizon. They are currently working across a mix of on-premises and Azure-based solutions, so any prior experience working in a cloud environment would be highly beneficial.
This is an end-to-end development role, with a slightly stronger focus on the delivery of Power BI reports for one of their specific geographical markets, where you will create intuitive, interactive and insightful visualisations to enable data-driven decision making. In doing so, you’ll also act as a Power BI administrator, overseeing the configuration, management and maintenance of these reports, and troubleshoot any helpdesk tickets related to these.
To support the delivery of these Power BI solutions, you will also need strong back-end SQL skills to troubleshoot issues and support the ongoing development of the wider data environment, experience working with Analysis Services Tabular Cubes for optimal data analysis, and SSIS for data integration.
As a Senior within the team, you will be very business-facing, and will be responsible for gathering business requirements, promoting best practices, and proactively seeking out opportunities for improvement.
This role would be well-suited to an ambitious BI / Power BI Developer who is looking for the next step in their career with an organisation who are committed to becoming truly data-driven and utilising the latest Microsoft technologies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Power BI development experience - including use of DAX and Power Query
  • Power BI administration experience - e.g. security, accessibility, licensing etc.
  • SQL - strong development experience
  • SSAS - Tabular experience
  • SSIS - experience for data integration
  • Any experience with Azure would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Benefits:

  • Salary up to €85,000
  • Performance-related bonus up to 15%

Please Note: This is a permanent role for UK residents only. This role does not offer Sponsorship. You must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions. Some of our roles may be subject to successful background checks including a DBS and Credit Check.
