Office of the Public Guardian - Senior Campaigns Manger
Location: National with regular travel to our offices in Birmingham, Nottingham, and London
Do you design campaigns that land with impact? We are looking for a talented and experienced communications leader to join our team on a fixed term basis.
As our Senior Campaigns Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping external campaigns to support the delivery of an upcoming modernisation programme and our wider organisational priorities.
You’ll be insight driven and strategic. We’re looking for someone to deliver outstanding public facing behaviour change communications and bring our customer information to life.
You will be responsible for making sure our priorities are communicated powerfully and consistently across a range of channels. From advising on how to break down complex information into accessible content, developing press lines and supporting internal stakeholders, this role is varied and challenging.
A capacity for adaptable working and producing high quality work to tight deadlines is vital. We’re looking for someone who can deliver to ambitious objectives and demonstrate how our campaigns are making a positive impact.
You’ll have a flexible approach, a can-do attitude and excellent relationship management skills. You’ll also be a proactive and motivated communications professional who has a passion for producing quality communications materials.

Responsibilities:

The role forms part of a professional communications team supporting the Office of the Public Guardian to achieve its objectives during an exciting time of change for the agency.
We’re looking for someone to develop and deliver strategies to support the delivery of organisational priorities.

You will:

  • Project manage and oversee the delivery of OPG’s priority campaigns.
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders to develop and implement campaigns and communication activity against clear objectives, outcomes, and timeframes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communications processes and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop excellent relationships with OPG’s executive team and senior leaders, becoming a trusted adviser.
  • Report into the Head of External Communications and line manage one campaigns manager (HEO).
  • Lead on the development of excellent written content for external communications channels.
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders on the way in which messages and key themes are communicated to external audiences, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact.
  • Alongside another Senior Campaigns Manager and Channels and Creative Lead, play a key leadership role in ensuring the external communications team is effective, innovative, and fully supportive of OPG’s business objectives.
  • Build effective, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues in MOJ strategic communications and across the wider department.
  • Work closely with press office colleagues to develop press lines, handling plans, and deliver proactive PR, liaising with journalists in consumer, national and regional print, and broadcast titles
