JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar field
  • Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate and organize data
  • Familiarity using space planning software is an asset but not a must (JDA, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Dunhumby, Numerator, Shopper Intelligence, Nielsen, etc.) with ability to understand information, develop insights and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to confidently present insights, opportunities and recommendations to internal or external stakeholders in a persuasive manner
  • Ability to use large data sets to develop insights, identify and present opportunities and recommendations to external stakeholders in a persuasive manner
  • People leadership and sr. leadership influence.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Senior Category Manager with a passion for the Beer Industry to work Nationally out of Ontario. This position will work across beer and beyond beer and lead a team of managers responsible for developing strategy and capabilities across our regional category and Key Account teams. The major focus will be leading in developing insights, identifying opportunities, and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth for our retail customers. Searching for an individual who takes ownership of their work, that is detail orientated, strongly analytical and always pushes themselves to reach higher and accomplish more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong relationships with regional category and Key Account teams, as a trusted Category Management Professional wo can deliver actionable capabilities across all areas of the Beer business and in the Alcohol department
  • Lead, motivate and drive strong engagement with sales and back office partners
  • Effectively communicate, manage and prioritize workload across multiple categories and stakeholders.
  • Lead a team to develop impactful category analyses and shopper insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources
  • Synthesize learnings from various sources (shopper data, scan data, custom research) to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint and Virtual selling platforms
  • Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications
  • Partner with Sales team to engage external retailer buying team with goal of identifying opportunities to grow the Beer and Beyond Beer category
  • Lead future industry growth in assigned areas of responsibility
