    Amazon is looking for a customer focused, team-oriented, and analytical leader to join the team, to lead Automotive category.
    The incumbent will be responsible for the total P&L, setting the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with key vendors, adding and inspiring new selection, managing category profitability, optimizing business inputs and outputs, and delivering our vision for our customer experience. This includes identifying potential brand and product business opportunities, building direct relationships with vendors, potential B2B, negotiating contracts, working with strategic vendors to build comprehensive joint business plans and developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements. The right candidate stays on top of market segment and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. In addition, the Sr Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator internally and externally, spanning vendors, supply chain, marketing, Finance, operations and pricing
    The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. They are passionate about building relationships, finding creative solutions to challenging blockers presented in the industry, and launching new brands from scratch. They will have opportunities to drive vendor conversations at the highest level (e.g., CEO, COO) to influence the result. They must be excellent problem solvers, great at identifying potential obstacles, implementing quick work-around solutions, and Inventing and Simplifying tasks to scale. The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter, have strong Ownership, comfortable navigating ambiguity with a Bias for Action, and be able to Deliver Results in a fast-paced business environment where prioritizing and multi-tasking are essential.
    Senior vendor manager roles are in the General Management career path at Amazon. This role is an excellent introduction to a wide variety of business functions and provides advancement opportunities to more senior roles in Marketing/Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management and Inventory Management.
