Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Operations & Vendor Governance Manager, you will be responsible for motivating and inspiring your team of Procurement Category Specialists whilst providing clarity of direction, strategic advice and best practice initiatives to assist with their sourcing activities and category spend tasks. Your team will support the Strategic Sourcing Managers with insights to assist the identification of supplier opportunities and the broader vendor landscape.
This position will be responsible for a breadth of initiatives that will include a variety of tasks that support the procurement fulfilment and procurement operations delivery. Examples include: triaging of sourcing / procurement activities where the team acts as the first point of contact on behalf of procurement; tender development, contract negotiations and supplier evaluation. You will work collaboratively with non-procurement stakeholders to train, educate and elevate best practice and quality initiatives across key business units.
In short, you will manage a small procurement team whilst managing first-stage enquiries, developing tenders, providing advice and working across a diverse range of a stakeholders to enable first-class outcomes.
