Then you might be the Senior Chemical/Regulatory Compliance Specialist we are looking for!
You will be based at our Head office in Hørsholm and join the Regulatory Intelligence & Conformity (RIC) team, and report to the Senior Manager of the RIC team. The team is part of Standardization and Technical Performance department within VELUX Products & Innovation. We monitor, develop and communicate insights on regulatory trends, technical boundary conditions and we safeguard internal technical product values.
We expect you to travel around 5 days/month, mostly to VELUX sites in Denmark, where our key stakeholders are located (e.g. Østbirk, Skjern).

Your primary activities and responsibilities as our new Senior Chemical/Regulatory Compliance Specialist are:

  • Significantly contribute to Chemical Risk & Compliance governance at VELUX e.g. via managing chemical compliance related tasks/projects in cooperation with important internal stakeholders such as advanced material technology, procurement, supplier quality, and production departments.
  • Be responsible at establishing a “database” including information on product chemical composition, to secure compliance to current and upcoming legislations (e.g. REACH, BPR, ROHS, ESPR, DPP).
  • Provide substantial support to the VELUX PFAS phase-out project.
  • Translate regulatory demands in own area into specific technical product requirements to ensure product regulatory compliance.
  • Significantly support operational implementation and compliance to product regulations, standards and other legal requirements.
  • Represent the interest of the VELUX Group in own area on technical and legislative matters to working groups, industry forums and membership organizations.

Required profile for this role:

  • MSc degree in engineering, chemistry or similar.
  • Significant experience working with regulatory management of chemicals ideally from an international company, where you may also have obtained project management experience.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of materials such as plastics, metals, timber/wood and their flows as input material is beneficial.
  • Speak, read and write English at a professional level.
  • Good problem-solving skills with open and cooperative mindset
  • Attentive to details, but never lose sight of the bigger picture
