A unique position has opened for a Senior Chemist to lead a small team of technical staff within the Chemistry department.
This position offers you the opportunity to make a difference and utilise your technical expertise and experience with an esteemed employer.
Permanent, Full-time position
Monday to Friday 38 hours p/w
Camden location (Facilities will relocate to Marsden Park mid year)
Lead a team of 2-3 technical staff
Responsibilities:
- Undertake and plan analysis workflow, from sample preparation to reporting.
- Maintain NATA accreditation, as well as pursue accreditation for new tests.
- Expand testing scope of the Chemistry Department.
- Operate and maintain instruments (HPLC/GCMS etc.)
- Ability to assess analytical data, based on QC limits.
- Write and review laboratory documentation
- Maintaining sufficient consumables and ordering stock in Chemistry lab, such as standards, chemical reagents and glassware.
