REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Civil Engineering (minimum Level 8 qualification).
- 5 years directly involved in the design process of large infrastructural projects/ Flood. Exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered
- Chartered status or equivalent qualification is preferred, but candidates aiming to achieve chartership within 12 months will also be considered
- Familiarity with PWC forms of contract is an advantage
- Proficiency in GIS (QGIS), CAD, and REVIT software
- Holders of the post will need to hold a current driver’s licence for Class B vehicles, as travel to and from site will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of flood defense and alleviation design projects, from preliminary high-level options to comprehensive planning and detailed construction designs. Coordinate with project teams and external parties to ensure smooth project execution
- Oversee the design process for large-scale infrastructural projects, including the use of GIS (QGIS) and direction of work to produce CAD and REVIT detailed construction drawings. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead and mentor small teams, providing guidance and support to team members. Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet strict quality criteria. Implement and maintain a Quality Management System throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage contracts for surveys, site investigations, and other third-party inputs to the design process. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and project timelines
- Monitor and manage compliance with relevant regulations and key performance indicators (KPIs). Take corrective actions when necessary to ensure project success
