The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to coordinate, and take the lead on project delivery, people management and client relationship management across multi-stage urban/land development projects in the Sunshine Coast.
With previous experience working in the land development market, the successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-level innovative, economical, and practical methods to drive the success of complex, high-priority projects across major urban development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing advice and demonstrating strong technical skills producing engineering design for projects and design packages.
- Feasibility, concept design and project delivery of civil projects.
- Provision of project management and project governance disciplines to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness, and quality.
- Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC.
- Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals.
- Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables.
- Financial management, client liaison and contract administration of assigned project.
- Source, build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through successful project delivery and targeted activities.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years domestic engineering experience (design or project management), with an urban development/land development focus.
- High level communication skills to advise and guide project delivery in a pro-active manner.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes, Local Regulatory Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards.
- A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships with tier one developers to drive positive change and win new work.
