WHAT YOU’LL BE CHALLENGED TO DO:

TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Civil /Track Engineer within our Transit and Freight Rail Sectors. The candidate will work with multi-discipline teams on wide ranging transit and rail projects as well as assisting in maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience with transit and freight rail design and capable of being an integral part of a project team committed to providing high quality designs.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety.
  • Served as lead civil/track designer on projects
  • Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget.
  • Provide team leadership.
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of junior engineers and technicians
  • Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model
  • Assists with writing proposals and making presentations
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility
  • Perform Independent Reviews of major projects
