The opportunity
Join our team as an experienced Senior Claims Officer – Elders Property Claims. Handle Domestic, farm and commercial damages from fire, floods, theft, and more. Leverage your customer service expertise for success and growth in high-value/complex claims within the dynamic insurance industry.

Your new role
This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to collaborate with our agency partners, customers, loss adjusters, builders, and suppliers for effective and efficient claims management.

The key responsibilities for this role include the following, but not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via verbal, written and in-person interactions
  • Guide and provide support to our customers after their loss
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for the customer and business
  • End to end claims management of large and complex property claims
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and offer guidance to less experienced team members,

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • High level of technical understanding and ability to manage a diversified portfolio of large and complex property claims.
  • An understanding of general insurance in property and previous experience within a large and complex claims environment.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to manage customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Possess resilience and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and empowerment, coupled with the capacity to actively listen and guide stakeholders through the claims process with empathy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, adaptability to new systems, effective prioritisation of work, and a willingness to seek assistance when required.
  • Good problem-solving skills - ability to interpret technical / investigation reports to make sound business decisions.
