Description:
As a senior climate scenarios advisor, you assist with risk management and financial resilience analysis, research and development for Desjardins and its subsidiaries. You work on the Desjardins Group stress testing and capital adequacy team. You help coordinate climate scenario exercises for the organization and subsidiaries. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders from various fields of expertise. Interpersonal savvy is essential. You also perform second line of defence critical reviews on strategic files. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Help develop and coordinate climate scenario exercises
- Make recommendations for developing scenarios and methodologies
- Optimize processes for climate scenarios and other related analyses
- Conduct second line of defence critical reviews
- Support your colleagues in the Integrated Risk Measurement Department on a number of strategic files, including recovery and resolution plans, stress testing, capital adequacy (ICAAP) and Desjardins Group’s risk appetite framework.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, actuarial science or in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience drafting and presenting documents for an executive level
- Specialization in finance, economics or actuarial science
- Professional certification such as FRM, PRM, CFA, ASA, FSA, FCAS, ACAS or any other relevant certification
- Knowledge of French is required
- Upper intermediate knowledge of English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Knowledge of climate risk
