Your part in our UnitingCare team
As a Clinical Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the development of reporting, forecasting, analysis, data publication and data management capabilities for the hospital’s clinical governance portfolio.
This role will also be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the data analytics and reporting capabilities of the Hospitals Group, leveraging a wide range of business intelligence tools. You will provide data and analytic support to the clinical governance team (Group and Hospital based) to develop strategic and operational plans and to deliver reporting and analysis services to multiple key stakeholders, demonstrating the value that data insights can deliver into health service trends, data quality, and operational performance.
What makes a difference for us?
Essential
- Relevant qualifications in data analytics and/or equivalent experience in working in a large complex environment
- Demonstrated experience in statistical or data analytic methods using SQL or equivalent statistical packages, applied to the analysis of health data (5 years + experience)
- Demonstrated knowledge of data architecture and data modelling principles
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare data analysis and a deep understanding of healthcare terminology and coding systems, including medical costing
- Established experience using Microsoft platforms including Power BI and Excel
- Sound problem solving, analytical, attention to detail and negotiation skills
- High level written (including report writing), verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- High level influencing and collaboration skills
Desirable
- Relevant training in hospital data analytics
- Experience in health care data analytics with demonstrated collaboration with clinical staff
