An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Berkshire Healthcare Children and Young Persons Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) which is team operating within the wider Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The CYP EIP service serves all of Berkshire, and we are seeking a clinician who is passionate about working with children and young people with complex presentations, who is also interested in wider service development initiatives and being part of a multidisciplinary team.
We are a specialist service working with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis (FEP) or who are presenting with an at-risk mental state (ARMS), working with children and young people under 18 years old.
Clinical Assessment: Conduct increasingly specialist assessments to understand a service user’s presenting difficulties and/or the systemic issues present.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualised specialised treatment plans based on assessment findings and service user needs, in collaboration with service users, to support their recovery and/or support with behaviours that challenge.
Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions using a range of psychological techniques and modalities, including CBT/CBTp
Collaboration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives in the delivery of holistic client care, leading this where appropriate.
Supervision and Training: Provide supervision and mentorship to clinicians and trainees contributing to their professional development and improving the quality of the treatment provided.
Research, Audit and Service Development: Lead on and undertake audit and research and service development activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of clinical services.

Responsibilities:

Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and registration with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist
Evidence of post-qualification training, experience within a CAMHS setting and expert knowledge of multiple psychological models and interventions
Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency environments
Experience of supervision and of positively influencing team practice
