Description:
You will be a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist ready to move into a Senior role. You will have a passion for working with children, young people and families with complex needs. You will have the knowledge and skills to undertake complex assessments and deliver evidence-based and outcome monitored psychological therapies. You will have experience in supporting the development of others through supervision and training and be keen to further develop this.
You will be a reflective practitioner with strengths to bring to a multi-disciplinary team and consultative work. You will be committed to service user participation and collaborative working with children, young people, parents, carers and families. You will have a good understanding of safeguarding across the lifespan. You will be motivated to further develop your leadership skills to contribute to quality improvement and service development within your pathway and the wider service.
Information about the Urgent Care Pathway The Urgent Care pathway consists of Crisis Teams, the Assertive Outreach Team and the Learning Disability Autism Keyworker Programme (LDAP). The pathway is county wide with locality hubs within it, which lends itself to the location being negotiable dependent on an individuals needs so long as service needs can be met. In this pathway, the appointed Senior Clinical Psychologist will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, which includes Clinical Psychology, Consultant Psychiatry, Systemic Psychotherapy, Mental Health Nursing, Assistant Practitioners and Mental Health Practitioners from a broad range of backgrounds. The Urgent Care pathway provides an acute crisis response as well as offering therapeutic work with specific emphasis on adolescents with complex and severe mental health problems.
The team works to an AMBIT framework alongside a broad spectrum of therapeutic modalities that are being used. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the team, your role will include complex psychological assessment and formulation, specialist advice/consultation, delivering short-term psychological interventions, as well as providing clinical supervision and teaching. You will also be supported to engage in service development and research as well as activities to support developing leadership skills.
