Department Overview:
Founded in 2005 by Dr. David Dorr the objective of Care Management Plus (CMP) began as a technology-intensive, innovative primary care model that reduces hospitalizations, lowers costs, and improves health outcomes for older adults with chronic illnesses.
The team continues to focus on interdisciplinary efforts to improve the quality of care for patients with chronic illnesses using care managers and information systems.
Our mission is to improve health systems and outcomes for vulnerable populations through research, technology, and collaboration.
Function/Duties of Position:
The Senior Clinical Research Assistant has the primary responsibility of coordinating a multi-site implementation trial focused on testing a patient-centered hypertension decision support tool called COACH. This includes supporting recruited and enrolled patients as they participate in the trial, preparing progress reports and study materials, overseeing instructions for participants, coordinating advisory group meetings, IRB management, and other administrative tasks.
Tasks also include performing extensive reviews of existing hypertension guidelines and protocols, assisting with manuscript and conference submissions, working with health team members and hypertension patients to understand their goals, experiences, and motivation, and facilitation of this large implementation trial to test the COACH app with various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field AND
1 year of relevant experience OR
Associate’s AND 3 years of relevant experience OR
4 years of relevant experience OR
Equivalent combination of training and experience

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to create spreadsheets, data entry forms and reports, experience with electronic health records, and the ability to work with large and diverse stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Informatics, Public Health, social science, computer science, or related degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience working on clinical trials, or in general health research.
  • 1 year experience providing implementation support to clinics.
  • Experience with health IT apps or FHIR standards a plus.
