Description:
Provide a maintenance, repair and support service for a wide range of medical devices which will include highly complex, patient critical equipment, located in a wide range of clinical setting across the organisation. Responsible for planning their own assigned work and, together with the section manager prioritise non-routine breakdown requests. Responsible for dealing with emergencies arising with equipment. Perform commissioning and acceptance tests on newly purchased and loan equipment.
The post holder will maintain and repair, a range of highly complex, patient critical medical equipment located throughout the organisation and will;Participate in and contribute to the MEMS Quality Management System, adhering to the policies and processes at all times. Work according to Health Board and Departmental policies and procedures and work with autonomy within the post holders assigned duties, making decisions within the scope of their competence. Actively contribute to planning of service developments within MEMS, in conjunction with senior staff. and actively contribute to and support the development of changes in MEMS quality system that will have a specificimpact in their own area of competency but also generally within MEMS.
Provide assistance with the development of changes to Health and Safety Policies that will have an impact particularly in their own area of responsibility but also generally within MEMS.
