Hands-on senior role to support, build & improve this modern cloud platform (Azure, IaC, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps) in this financial services firm.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for an Azure Cloud Engineer with IaC experience building & supporting customer-facing infrastructure inside complex enterprise environments.

The following is needed:

• Proven experience building & managing Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions.
• Proven Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) experience - pref Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong IT Operations background providing operational support to customer-facing production infrastructure.
• Infrastructure monitoring and load balancing experience.
• Good knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management.
• Linux/Windows System Admin experience.
• Kubernetes (AKS) is beneficial.
• DevOps tooling experience is beneficial - e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins Git etc
• Azure certifications.
• Financial Services industry exp (or similar) is beneficial.
• Display logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, reliability, automation, and security of the cloud infrastructure that supports a HA customer-facing platform, fully hosted in Azure.
You’ll work on modern technologies (Containers, IaC) in a cloud-first business.

KEY ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE:

• Design, build, maintain, monitor, and support the infrastructure platform hosted in Azure.
• Develop and maintain automation through IaC and other build / deployment tools.
• Embed and improve CI/CD.
• Build and maintain observability / monitoring solutions for the platform.
• Involvement in well-architected review of the platform and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Involvement in Incident / Problem / Change Management across the platform.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME PERMANENT ROLE LOCATED IN THE SYDNEY CBD WITH HYBRID WORKING AND IS OFFERING $140,000 - $145,000 (PLUS SUPER).
