About the role
The Senior Commercial Accountant position leads the commercial and site services functions at Tritton Operation, including finance and administration. You will work within the commercial team providing effective management, coaching, mentoring and collaboration across the business. The role covers the entire breadth of management accounting functions, system management and reporting.
This exciting and diverse role is definitely not your average Commercial Accountant role!
Whilst you will provide accounting services and support to site management, you will also have the opportunity to showcase your strategic and advisory skills and act as a genuine trusted advisor to the business.
You will be involved in exciting project work as Aeris grows and ventures into new business endeavours within the mining industry!
About You
You have a passion for business analysis and process improvement and thrive in environments where you can enact positive change to the status quo!
You’re an experienced Commercial Accountant who has a demonstrated history of providing specialist finance, procurement and accounting services within a large and complex environment
Building strong relationships with stakeholders comes naturally to you – your communication style and your ability to negotiate and influence has seen you succeed in your career so far
Your attention to detail is second to none and you have a proven track record of delivering successful commercial activities, including reporting, budgeting and annual business planning
You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce related fields
You are self-motivated, confident and absolutely driven by (and committed to!) providing exceptional service, advice and outcomes for your team and business.
Mining experience would be great for you to have already, however, it’s not essential!

The Operation You’ll Support
Aeris’ Tritton Copper Operations is located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in Central New South Wales. Our operation’s underground mining complex feeds 1.8 million tonne per annum through our processing plant and our highly prospective tenements package covers about 2,330km2 of the Girilambone basin. We’re a major, regional employer in the local district supporting the community and investing in education and career pathways for local residents.
