We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst in our London office.
Department Overview:
The Commercial Finance department based in London looks after all the strategic planning and reporting for the EMEA region. The team is positioned in the commercial head office to support sound financial business decisions, interact with and optimize relationships across all departments with a focus on Retail, Ecommerce and Wholesale.
In addition the team works alongside their counterparts in corporate finance based in Manno, Switzerland and Venlo, The Netherlands.

What You’ll Do:

  • Month end closure review for field payroll across all channels, understanding movements to forecast and presenting this clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Preparing reforecasts in conjunction with business partners for Retail.
  • Ownership of the annual budgeting process and subsequent iterations throughout the year for field payroll and real estate.
  • Partner closely with the Retail field team and HR to monitor headcount in stores, including review of PTS%, productivity, ensuring all metrics are within company targets and challenging team when appropriate.
  • Partnering with the senior retail team to produce annual bonus targets by store and subsequently own the calculation of field bonus (quarterly & annual) and commissions, gaining approval from relevant stakeholders and submission to payroll.
  • Business partner with the retail team to produce robust investment appraisals for the retail fleet, challenging where appropriate. Closely monitor store performance post opening challenging the business to ensure investment appraisal is achieved.
  • Produce month end packs incorporating all aspects for store performance, including variance analysis and providing value-adding commentary to explain movements.
  • Working closely with the senior Retail head office and field teams on ad hoc analysis to help drive business performance and continually drive improvement.
  • Provide ad hoc support to US and retail teams as required.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Ideally 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong commercial experience preferably in a Retail related role / Retail / Ecommerce business.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Understand the fashion retail business in order to advise on opportunities for further business growth and operational excellence
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong business partnering experience.
  • Strong communication skills in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to communicate with Finance and Non Finance customers
  • Be a self-starter able to manage own time, priorities and drive key projects.
