KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, or journalism.
  • Preferably an understanding of the dairy industry and LIC’s contribution.
  • Ability to liaise, negotiate, and influence individuals with diverse functions.
  • Minimum 6+ years of communications experience.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Advisor to join our dynamic Marketing & Products team. In this role, you will support the Communications Manager in creating effective and meaningful communications both internally and externally. You will be instrumental in leading key strategic communications, managing media relations, and enhancing our public profile.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead key strategic internal and external communications projects.
  • Manage media relations and produce media content, with support from the wider comms team.
  • Produce engaging content for LIC’s communications channels.
  • Prepare, produce, and implement internal communications nationally and for the wider LIC business.
  • Liaise with external key stakeholders to maintain a high public profile through strategic and tactical communications.
  • Assist in anticipating and managing issues and crises to protect LIC’s profile
