PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Play a key role in communicating the transformation story of James Fisher both internally and externally and support the delivery of change campaigns to maximise employee engagement.
  • Support the delivery of an integrated strategic communications plan for the Group.
  • Work with the team to plan, write, edit, proof and share content for a variety of communications.
  • Support the External Communications Manager on creating impactful press releases and case studies and maximising social media content.
  • Work with the Digital Team to lead the communications approach to the Group’s intranet and website, using data insights to ensure relevancy and accuracy of content.
  • Build and share a pipeline of stories from across the Group focused on championing our people and their successes, our innovations and partnerships with safety and sustainability at the heart.
  • Actively support the monitoring and measurement of our internal and external communications activity.
  • Work closely with our Communications and Marketing Teams to understand our business, markets and customers.
  • Build strong, trusted, relationships internally and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in marketing, business, or related preferred
  • CIM qualifications or related marketing qualifications preferred
  • Previous experience in a communications role working with a range of stakeholders and across multiple channels
  • Highly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with and ability to clearly explain and present ideas to a range of stakeholders
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proactive, able to solve problems and adaptable. Works hard but embraces fun!
  • Highly organised and proficient at multi-tasking

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As the company transforms for the future, strong communications will play a major role in delivering our ambitions at James Fisher. That is why we are recruiting for the exciting new role of Senior Communications Executive for the Group.
You will be passionate about communications and engagement and will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the Group’s communications activities in alignment with our new strategy, working in close partnership with our Communications and Marketing Team.
We’re looking for a team player, “can-do” attitude and experience in a similar communications role.
