We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Communications Manager, SG and SEA.

Requirements

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives in an environment of significant change
  • Team leader experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience working in the financial services industry especially in the Wealth and Personal Banking business will be an advantage
  • Exceptional content development skills and sharp media acumen, with proven ability to produce clear, engaging stories and content for various media platforms, leveraging trends and promoting thought leadership
  • Multi-media skills including video editing, social media content creation and experience using Canva will be an advantage
  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, employee communications or content roles at an agency or in-house environment
  • Ability to understand business issues and devise communication solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making broader connections
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity, a matrixed organisation and working across multiple projects is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, strategic planning and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are a must
  • A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers and encourage/deliver excellent performance from teams, individuals and agencies
  • Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute is of the utmost importance

Responsibilities:

  • Building and protecting the HSBC Singapore’s brand and reputation in line with the Bank’s overall purpose and values
  • Spearheading and executing an external corporate communications plan to reinforce HSBC Singapore’s position as a leading international bank, focused on digital and sustainability and an employer of choice
  • Delivering an integrated internal communications programme that connects HSBC Singapore’s bank-wide employees with the bank’s ambitions and strategy as well as increasing the profile of HSBC Singapore to key internal senior stakeholders within the wider HSBC Group
  • Primary coverage of Wealth and Personal Banking business, which includes Retail Banking, HSBC Life, HSBC Asset Management and Private Banking businesses
  • Leadership Communications: Manage, drive and execute programme of internal and external engagements for senior stakeholders. This can include content development and speech writing, , opinion articles, internal notes, social media. The output will ensure a strong share of voice in Singapore media and excellent engagement on social media, aligned to the Wealth & Personal Banking narrative for Singapore
  • Employee Communications: Develop and execute a two-way communications programme and engaging content that ensures our teams feel connected to our strategy and thematic priorities; manage change, and embed culture. Deliver internal content, campaigns, and success stories to the HSBC Singapore employees in the Wealth and Personal Banking business, and promote wins on global channels
  • External communications: Drive media relations and support media activities with coherent and sustained narratives, build media relationships, and create media stories, briefs and speeches that effectively profile our Wealth and Personal Banking businesses
  • Issues management: Manage crisis communications, ensuring that the bank’s reputation is safeguarded during challenging situations, with development and execution of crisis management plans and supporting customer
