ABOUT THE ROLE:
This exciting position is part of the Family Services team at MacKillop, integrated into the dynamic Family & Community Programs. Based in our Dandenong office, the role involves working daily at partner sites in the Pakenham area. As the Senior Community Support Practitioner (CSP), you’ll report to the Coordinator of Integrated Family Services (IFS) and Early Help (EH).
The Early Help Family Services (EHFS) Program focuses on early intervention, supporting students and families through schools and early learning centers to prevent the need for more intensive family services. The program is designed to engage families in comfortable, familiar settings.
As a front-line CSP, you will be at the heart of delivering the EHFS model, working directly with the local community, partners, and stakeholders. You’ll build strong relationships, create opportunities, and deliver services that support families and children at partner sites. Collaboration and communication with partners, the community, service providers, and families are key to ensuring a seamless experience.
Your responsibilities will include brief interventions with families, group work, secondary consultation with stakeholders and the community, psychoeducation, referrals, support to access services, assessments, parenting groups, training, individual support, and managing brokerage expenditures. Additionally, as a Senior CSP, you’ll provide supervision, consultation, and coaching to other CSPs, working closely with the Coordinator.
