Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, the Senior Compensation Analyst will act as a subject matter expert providing advice and support to People & Culture and/or managers for all matters related to compensation practices and policies.
This is a hybrid position based in our Mississauga, ON, office.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Provide compensation support and expertise to internal clients, including People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, and people leaders.
  • Assist with the training, communication, and implementation of compensation programs and processes.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, support the annual corporate merit and profit-sharing program.
  • Help manage Annual Compensation Planning process including assistance with system configuration, testing, audits.
  • Update and maintain our corporate and field salary structures.
  • Participate in salary surveys and perform annual compensation market analysis for Canada.
  • Create, update, and maintain reports for compensation-related analytics.
  • Assist in providing timely, accurate forecasts to the Finance department for financial reporting purposes.
  • Participate in the job evaluation function within the organization, including market matching and job code creation. Ensures tracking and recording of related data.
  • Review and assist in the development of compensation guidelines and policies.
  • Assist with pay equity and employment equity program administration and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HRIS on building out new Compensation Framework in Workday, updating file integrations, and reporting.
  • Proactively identify market best practices and compensation trends, conducting market benchmark analyses.
  • Participate in special projects for the Total Rewards function as required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Compensation program administration and design
  • Experience administering compensation programs in Canada is an asset
  • Proven strength in data analysis with ability to identify and solve problems
  • Strong computer skills: expert user of MS Excel, proficient with Word and PowerPoint
  • Accreditation as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or desire to complete this certification ideally suited
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, high attention to detail and exceptional ability to follow through
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; thoughtful, proactive, creative
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Evidence of sound judgement in supporting the overall success of the team and efficiently and effectively completing tasks, assignments and projects while adding value in the process
