TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Compensation Analyst in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation structures.
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to align compensation programs with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead the design and administration of base salary, variable pay, and equity compensation plans.
- Provide expertise and guidance on job evaluations, leveling, and career pathing.
- Manage the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity grants.
- Partner with external vendors and consultants to optimize compensation programs and practices.
- Analyze compensation data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation.
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for pay equity, transparency, and fairness in compensation practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in compensation, rewards, or related HR functions.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing effective compensation programs in a complex organizational environment.
- Experience with job evaluation methodologies, market pricing analysis, and pay equity initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as UKG (UltiPro), SAP, SuccessFactors, or Workday.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive compensation information.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of compensation and rewards.
Employment Details
- Salary: $130k - $170k
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits, Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid
- Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
