Description:
Leading Insurance Group have a permanent opportunity available for a Senior Compliance Manager, this position is hybrid working with two days per week in the Dublin office. The Senior Compliance Manager holds the responsibility of overseeing strategic downstream compliance risk advisory services. This role involves daily supervision of Compliance Managers across various business partnerships, ensuring compliance with regulations while maintaining oversight of compliance risk management activities. As a senior figure within the Group Compliance Function, the Senior Compliance Manager contributes to its strategic management and activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic compliance advisory services to senior management on various compliance initiatives, including risk minimisation strategies and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage external regulatory interactions and relationships.
- Oversee policy, procedure, and control management in line with the Group Policy Framework.
- Review first-line regulatory activities to identify compliance control risks.
- Foster a compliance-focused culture within the team and across the organisation.
- Collaborate with Compliance Managers on strategic planning, prioritisation, and personal development.
- Coordinate planned activities to ensure comprehensive compliance coverage.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance-related queries and risk mitigation planning.
- Lead implementation of compliance solutions across the business.
- Conduct training on industry regulations and expectations.
- Maintain regulatory registers and oversee breach resolution processes.
- Stay informed about current legislation, regulations, and compliance best practices.
- Prepare governance reporting for Board Committees and Leadership Team Forums.
- Participate in the Compliance management team, providing input and support.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of compliance industry experience, with 5 years in a compliance manager role.
- Experience in healthcare compliance industry is advantageous.
- Professional Qualification ACOI or similar.
- Subject matter expertise in managing compliance and strong knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Experience in developing and maintaining compliance programs.
