ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates for our Senior Concierge opportunity will need to be well presented, have excellent communication skills and pleasant telephone manner. We anticipate applicants will have previous experience as a Concierge and will have worked in a luxury hotel environment.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, a professional and welcoming personality and excellent communication skills.

We anticipate applicants will have previous experience in Costumer Services and will have worked in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.

As a Senior Concierge you will work in rotation within the department under the direction of the Concierge Manager and Assistant Head Concierge, and within the limits of The Berkeley’s policies. You will assist the Concierge Manager and Assistant Head Concierge in their tasks, be fully responsible for all aspects within the concierge department, and maintain a level of knowledge about the Berkeley hotel and London in general.

Main responsibilities of the Senior Concierge include, but are not limited to:

• Assist guests with all queries and providing a impeccable guest experience.
• Smooth and efficient running of the concierge, luggage and doorman area.
• Ensure prompt handling and delivery of all messages, facsimiles mail and parcels.
• Comply with any reasonable request by the Front Office Management and Hotel Management.
• Ensure clear communication is maintained between Concierge and Reception to ensure a smooth running of the Front Office operations.
• Assist the Concierge Manager with the daily administration and coordination of mail and parcels.
• Ensure internal and external guest bookings are made in a timely manner and according to our guests’ needs and expectations.
• Liaise with the Fleet Service department to organize transportation for our guests when required.
• Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
