MULTIPLE POSITIONS: Avanade Inc. is seeking Senior Consultant, Data Engineers with a strong knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence to deliver analytics and business intelligence solutions to our clients.
Skills and experiences

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer or Information Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Robotic Engineering, or closely related field, plus at least four (4) years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Data Engineer, or in a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment. Alternatively, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience, Avanade will accept a master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer or Information Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Robotic Engineering, or closely related field, and at least two (2) years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Data Engineer, or in a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment. A qualified applicant’s experience must include the following skills: 2 years of experience performing data engineering, warehousing, publishing and visualization throughout the full data lifecycle; 2 years of experience data profiling, cataloguing and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows, query tuning and optimization; 2 years of experience defining ETA and/or ETL architecture and ETL process design; 2 years of experience using DPM specific tooling including: Spark, Python, Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF), Lakehouse; 2 years of experience in software development using .Net, PySpark, Python, SQL NoSQL, C#, and scripting languages (Linux or Powershell); 2 years of experience in Machine Learning projects, putting in production and maintaining with MLOps methodologies; 2 years of experience in natural language processing, neural network design, machine learning forecasting, audio and image processing, and applying machine learning to IoT projects incorporating knowledge graphs; and 2 years of experience with hands-on DevOps experience on Azure services.

What you’ll do
In this role, you will: design and set up projects that bring together information from a variety of sources to enable analysis and decision-making; utilize personal knowledge to plan and deliver data warehouse and storage; take part in designing and running bespoke data services for individual projects; design, develop, adapt, and maintain data warehouse architecture and relational databases to support data mining; customize storage and extraction, meta-data, and information repositories; create and use effective metrics and monitoring processes; monitor key performance indicators to determine where current operations can be improved and identify the causes of any problems; create the building blocks for transforming enterprise data solutions; design and build modern data pipelines, data streams, and data service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); and create and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, and scanned reports, as well as other information portals and resources. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance from Los Angeles, CA. Offered Salary: $164,819 - $164,819.
