    The Senior Consultant, Case Management Support is a role providing advice, coaching and support on the Qantas’s Supporting Fitness for Work Policy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality consistent advice, coaching and support to line managers in regard to the Qantas Group Supporting Fitness for Work Policy.
  • Working with line managers to build strong people management knowledge and capabilities, including through facilitating formal Learning programs and informal on-the-job coaching.
  • Working closely and consulting with internal stakeholders including the Industrial Relations, Legal, Medical, Safety and Security teams to ensure an integrated, collaborative approach to case management.
  • Managing a high case load of fitness for work matters in accordance with Qantas Group policies and procedures, legislative obligations and business objectives.
  • Collaborating across the People & Culture community to share learnings and insights to continually improve processes and systems.
  • Informing appropriate business partners of matters which may constitute a potential risk to the business, i.e. media exposure, brand damage or legal claims.
  • Maintaining documented records.
  • Utilising reporting, data and insights to make recommendations to business partners on potential trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintaining industry knowledge to strengthen technical knowledge in the management of employee issues, particularly in relation to employment and anti-discrimination law.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Occupational Rehab, Work Health and Safety or related experience.
  • Ability to manage a high case load and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in advising on individual people matters, particularly matters involving ill or injured employees.
  • Pro-active individual that provides practical and pragmatic solutions to support the business needs and deliver optimal Group outcomes.
  • Strong case management experience and the ability to provide advice in a timely manner.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation along with the ability to influence, negotiate and coach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain documented audit trails, advice and investigations with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them in the management of individual cases.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement and maintains appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and tasks.
