Description:
YOU WILL HAVE:
- Professional experience in HSE or consent management for major infrastructure developments in the marine environment
- Experience with marine compliance – auditing, compliance, reporting etc
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel) and PDF software;
- Attention to detail, including excellent written and oral communication, organisational and time management skills;
- A professional manner with strong inter-personal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels;
- Self-motivated with an inquisitive mind and an ability to work under own initiative with a solution orientated approach;
- Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn;
- An interest in project management skills in the context of project delivery

Responsibilities:
Are you a marine consultant with experience of consents and permitting for marine infrastructure projects, including offshore wind? Do you want to be part of a diverse group of specialists working at the forefront of the renewable sector in a hugely rewarding role? Perhaps you have previous experience working on offshore or onshore projects and want to be involved with some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure development projects in the UK? APEM Group are actively recruiting a Consents Compliance Senior Consultant to be part of our growing Major Projects team!
As consent compliance consultant, you will act as the main focal point for management and compliance of offshore wind consents, working closely with a range of stakeholders including clients and technical teams to ensure efficient delivery of consent related material. Working with the Project Director and Delivery Assistants, you will advise clients on and work with technical teams to find solutions to effectively manage key risks. You will have responsibility for financial and programme management, including managing internal and subcontractor teams, project admin and reporting.
With a focus on post-consent compliance, you will be involved at a dynamic and exciting stage of development, playing a key role in ensuring successful build out of complex major infrastructure projects through management consent compliance across a range of disciplines. This may include developing marine mammal, ornithological and benthic ecology monitoring plans across our specialist teams, supporting project teams in preparations for survey mobilisation, assisting in the delivery of compensation workstreams associated with derogation cases, and many more.
Through this role, you will have significant opportunities to develop a rewarding career within the Project Delivery Team, who’ve played a part in over 70% of all current UK offshore wind farm projects. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your existing knowledge and experience in areas such as site selection, development consent application and EIA delivery. Over time, you’ll become a trusted member of the project team and be able to work independently and support larger multi-disciplinary teams.
