What you’ll be doing
The Senior Consultant, GRC Reporting is a key member of the Chief Security Office (CSO) Governance, Risk, Controls and Effectiveness team. Reporting to the Director – GRC Strategy, the Senior Consultant will support TI&I, taking ownership for in-depth GRC executive reporting, analysis, and reviews.

How you’ll succeed

  • You act like an owner - You thrive when you’re empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results. Take end-to-end ownership of Executive GRC Reporting and Insights and provide strong consulting expertise to all business partners. Research and analyze TI&I GRC performance to ensure consistency and clear communication.
  • Strategic Thinker - Facilitate the development and process improvements to a suite of Executive reports in order to provide management and executives with high level visibility into the respective lines of business within TI&I. Determine future vision and strategy for enhancing the performance measurement and reporting mechanisms to allow comprehensive risk management within TI&I.
  • Strategic Advisor - Provide technical and operational expertise based upon detailed knowledge of reporting and key performance indicators to direct and influence senior management in the continued development of Business Insights and reporting environment.
  • Clear Communicator - You have impeccable communication skills. Your communication style is clear and concise, such that you establish yourself as a trusted advisor for all TI&I GRC Executive Reporting and Insights. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.
  • Relationship & Partner Management - Develop and maintain productive relationships with designated business owners, business line risk advisors, and lines of business partners to promote the exchange of best practices and process improvements.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience with: Executive and/or Governance Reporting (minimum 5 years)and providing business insights. You have working knowledge of: Tableau, MS Power Platform, and MS Office. Experience with GORM 360, eGRC, OLMS, or ORS will be considered an asset.

  • Communication - Well-developed communication and interactive skills. You have experience and are comfortable working with high-level executives in an advisory and reporting capacity and/or you have been in a client-facing role.

  • Relationship management. You have strong teamwork, partnership, and relationship building skills to act in a collaborative manner with various business partners and stakeholders across the bank.
  • Analysis. Leverage data (transactional, behavioral, system, etc.) to prepare analysis, develop insights, and implement models/rules to improve detection.

Prior to starting in this role, security checks, including a criminal record check must be successfully completed to the satisfaction of CIBC. An annual criminal record check may also be required.
