What you’ll be doing
As the Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Technology Asset Management you will be responsible for establishing and implementing industry best practices for managing the Bank’s technology assets. You will be accountable for ensuring ongoing ITAM compliance though a pro-active program that you will enhance with more robust controls, processes and documentation standards.
You will be managing the end-to-end Asset Management Lifecycle and implement new processes and tools to minimize the financial, operational and reputational risk for CIBC. Your experience in previously leading an Enterprise ITAM program will enable you to broaden the scope of the CIBC ITAM program and improve processes and artifact standards. You will work closely with your team, our vendors and key internal stakeholders to build a robust and effective strategy for ensuring ongoing compliance and maximizing CIBC contractual and financial benefits.

How you’ll succeed

  • Leadership – You will work with the broader team to set goals and motivate the teams to achieve them. You can identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of team activities and key initiative deliverables. Maintain a strong communication network with the team, providing coaching and regular updates and direction on key objectives, priorities, business initiatives and performance standards.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking- Knowledge of data, tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions and perspectives when solving problems. Structured problem-solving skills are essential to this role to reach the root cause for both common client issues and larger systemic challenges; engage vendor partners as necessary; Identify issues and provide guidance or documentation.
  • Risk Management & Industry Knowledge- Ensure the appropriate Governance is followed and adhered to for all business processes. Keep abreast of the industry knowledge, innovations and advancements in business practices and technologies.
  • Relationship Management – Work closely with your team, key stakeholders across the organization and our external partners to deliver on key objectives and deliverables.
  • Interpersonal Relations – You have excellent communication skills and can communicate clearly and concisely to partners in all levels of the organization. You can use various strategies to influence others and build support for process improvement recommendations.
  • Problem solving – You can develop creative solutions and new ways of thinking about issues and opportunities. Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for issues and know when to collaborate with others to build a better solution together.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. 1 to 5 years’ experience in IT Asset Management. You have strong self-planning skills sufficient to plan assignments according to general work plans; ability to multi-task, plan and meet timelines.
  • You also have experience developing strategy and converting it into an implementation plan to meet ITAM objectives. You have strong written and oral communication, influencing and negotiating skills sufficient to shape decision-making process.
  • You maximize efficiencies, processes and systems to meet CIBC business goals.
