• Providing technical leadership for all aspects of database management such as database lifecycle management, monitoring, support, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.
• Researching new Oracle database versions, features, tools, and technologies with an Enterprise perspective to meet customer needs while maintaining a secure database environment.
• Researching, benchmarking, and suggesting improvements to database support processes, customer experience (CX) improvements, and compliance requirements.
• Providing 3rd and 4th level cloud (Oracle, SQL Server, etc) database support for complex issues.
• Participating in and managing database related projects, database security patching audits, and compliance reviews and testing.
• Developing new and updating existing database technology related documentation as needed
• Participating on customer driven and Division/department projects.
• Working with a geographically distributed team
• Learning new technologies and applying them with an enterprise perspective
• Acting in a self-directed manner, independently researching tools/libraries/technologies or solving a problem with minimal oversight and instruction
