Description:

RELATIONSHIPS/COMMUNICATIONS Internal: Divisional Senior Management Teams (SMT); Social Care Directorate Management Team (DMT)); Operational Delivery Board, Hestia Senior Management Team, Core Community Team Managers, and staff, CRHTT Team Managers and Staff, Ward Staff and People who use our services External: Assistant Director of Social Care; Borough Heads of Social Care. Heads of Service, and other local authority social care leaders and social workers, Housing and third sector staff The postholder will be at ease in working with all levels of colleagues and partners and particularly will be able to: Work in a highly complex environment across multiple systems, providing visible social work and social care leadership to partners in local authorities. Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Section 75 agreements and other partnerships between the Local Authority and the divisions. Work with Local Authority partners on robust governance arrangements and quality service standards for the delivery of integrated Mental Health Act (1983) assessments and promote effective partnerships with local AMHP services.
Ensure adherence to Local Authority policies and procedures relevant to the management of staff and resources on behalf of the local Authority. . OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support the development of excellent working partnerships Ensure that social care and the role and values of social work are fully considered in the development of Divisional strategies and annual plans. Lead on the transformation of mental health social work, raising the profile, value, and role of the workforce within the delivery of modern integrated mental health care service.
Contribute to the development of social work and social care partnerships within wider BEH integrated programs and initiatives. Provide social work leadership on the development and implementation of social care personalization, strengths & assets-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and rights-based practice within the Divisions. Champion the development of clearly specified mental health social care roles within integrated mental health services. Lead on the development of systems and practices within the Division to ensure that the social care dimension is a mainstream consideration for all staff working with service users and carers.
Advise Divisional Triumvirates of all responsibilities relating to social care delivery Ensure that any delegated activities relating to relevant legislation are met. Assist in translating Local Authority social care priorities into Trust service development and business plans. Facilitate partnerships with local authorities, service user groups, carer groups, voluntary sector community groups, 3rd sector organizations, and BEH Trust. 2.
POLICY / SERVICE DEVELOPMENT Provide professional and visible leadership that inspires, motivates, and empowers social workers across the divisions Division in all care settings. Strengthen the professional identity of social workers in the Division, ensuring that the profession is nurtured, and its voice is prominent. Ensure systems and processes are in place for robust professional supervision, reflective practice, learning, personal and professional development for social workers in the Trust. Develop and promote opportunities for social work innovation and research.
Leverage social care approaches to develop integrated services that support effective recovery and strengths/community asset-based approaches. Be a member of various Divisional forums related to governance, service planning, and development. Provide strategic leadership for defined social care priorities across The divisions. GENERAL PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT All staff are required to be appraised by their line managers at least once a year at a personal development review meeting where progress made over the last year is discussed and agreed.
Focus on the following years departmental and personal objectives will be identified, discussed, and agreed. Where necessary, help and support will be provided, and development opportunities agreed in line with service provision and knowledge and skills competency framework. All staff are responsible for the continual compliance with CQC standards and outcomes.The postholder must be aware of, and work in line with, the Trusts Safeguarding Adults and Children procedures
