The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum 3 years data entry/administration with strong customer service skills
  • Minimum 2 years of Container Chain System experience
  • Hapag Lloyd MARS and Maersk MERC+ systems (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to Detail.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to this position
  • Ability to communicate collaboratively and effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • High level organisational skills
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with time and ability to deal with conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Container Park Coordinator to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, operational liaison with drivers and yard workers, paperwork processing and other duties required to support the daily running, planning and operations within the Container Park Sites.
We are open to candidates in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth.

THE KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Use Container Chain to validate the import pre-booking details as supplied by shipping lines and customers ensuring all data is correct
  • Monitor pending bookings to ensure EDI is received for export booking from the shipping lines
  • Communicate to customers any re-directions or changes to opening hours
  • Support general clerical duties such as answering telephone/email enquiries
  • Ensure all data for container movements is accurately recorded and maintained
  • Keep up to date on re-directions and changes of opening hours and advising customers to ensure efficient coordination of the yard and traffic flow
  • Undertake all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Review and Vet Estimate of Repair for Shipping Containers
  • Develop strong client base relationships with client counterparts
  • Maintain positive and collaborative communication with M&R colleagues, key peers and all stakeholders
  • Observe the provisions of the relevant workplace agreements, relevant country labour regulations and all Company policies and procedures
  • Strong customer service and customer relationship management
  • Action approval / rejection / query of EOR and M&R process, with strong attention to detail.
  • Notify shipping lines of any damage to containers
  • Use internal computer systems to complete recording associated with the movements of cargo
  • Ensure accuracy of container/cargo moves
  • Follow yard procedures including immediate reporting of any yard, container or equipment damage
