The Role
The Senior Contracts Administrator will oversee and strategically manage subcontract variations, supervising the Contracts Administrator, and act as a key liaison for high-level negotiations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient and effective achievement of objectives.
Responsibilities:
Managing and implementation of the Contracts Administrator team, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and providing guidance on best practices in subcontract variation management.
Developing and implementing training programs to enhance team capabilities in contract management, negotiation, and compliance
Providing strategic oversight and management on the initiation, negotiation, and implementation of subcontract variations, ensuring alignment with project goals and compliance with contractual obligations.
Overseeing the subcontract variation process in line with sub clause 4.47 “Variations “ and sub-clause 5.3 “Variations to Secondary Subcontracts”.
Collaborating with project management, engineering, and legal teams to review and approve variation requests, ensuring project objective and compliance requirements are met.
Ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of all subcontract variations, ensuring all variations are justified, documented and executed according to contractual terms.
Serving as the primary point of contact for high-level negotiations with contractors and subcontractors regarding variation.
