Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our State Government client, based on East Perth, are looking for a professional Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation and drafting to execution and renewal, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability in our supply chain.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree qualified in this field or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and procurement management, with experience being in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing contracts and procurement processes in a complex organisational environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract drafting and review.
  • Deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and procurement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data- driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on driving results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective contracts and procurement strategies to support company objectives and goals.
  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts with vendors, suppliers, and other third-party partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures, throughout the contracts lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts and procurement activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance, including conducting vendor evaluations and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost savings initiatives, and other strategic initiatives related to contracts and procurement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in contracts and procurement management.
