Our water team provides vital support to major projects as well as expert services directly to clients. We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team in Wellington to ensure the three waters renewals programme runs smoothly across the region.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for Monitoring, Supervision & Quality Assurance (MSQA) of our projects in the construction phase and assisting the design team during investigation and design phases. This will require excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Administer all aspects of a contract or programme to ensure that the work is constructed to a high standard, and the required specifications, working in a collaborative manner with the contractor to proactively identify and deal with issues.
  • liaison with designers to solve issues that may appear from unforeseen events.
  • Working with project teams during the concept and design stages to ensure constructable designs.
  • Liaising with the public and managing compliments and complaints, plus verbal and written requests.
  • Daily contact with the Project Manager, Client staff and other disciplines to ensure the work is coordinated with other interacting programmes.
  • Mentoring junior staff in the Engineer’s Representative’s Assistant role.
  • Assist or fulfill the role of Engineer’s Representative in administering the contract.

You’ll have a relevant qualification and at least 10 years relevant experience in the horizontal infrastructure industry, with a solid understanding of pipeline construction and contract management.
