As part of this project, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, integration, testing and commissioning activities of the PLC-based software for the tunnel Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS).
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical requirements review and analysis
- Development of system functional design documentation
- PLC software design development, system implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning
- Programming of PLCs code as per the design to meet system requirements and technical specifications.
- Testing and correcting errors in the PLCs code within established testing procedures and and quality standards to ensure the system performs according to the specifications.
- Liaising with clients and third-party vendors on aspects of the design and construction, providing feedback or request for information to the designer
- Review of vendor’s specifications, technical information, datasheets, etc.
- Collaborating with the local and offshore software development team in Spain during the development, testing and commissioning activities of the project.
- Updating and maintaining end-user and O&M procedures and manuals.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
The preferred candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field of engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in development, design, integration, testing and commissioning of SCADA software and PLC-based automation and control systems
- Relevant experience in the delivery of Plant Management and Control Systems (PMCS) for tunnel projects is desirable
Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA or DCS technologies – Rockwell (Allen Bradley) preferrable.Strong PLC Programming skills (e.g. Ladder, STL, Function Blocks)
