As a Senior Finance Controller (all genders) within the Reporting and Planning team sitting in the Finance organization, you are responsible for the financial planning and controlling for our large scale investment projects that enable the permanent expansion of our European fulfillment network. With more than 200 million orders, 525 million shipped items annually, Logistics is the back-bone of Zalando’s success story and our Logistics Controlling department is responsible for planning & monitoring the annual logistics budget of approx. 3 Billion Euro.

• Be in charge of our investment budget planning for the large-scale logistics projects and make sure the financial setup of our future logistics locations is staying within budget
• You will actively take part in business case preparations, assumption validation and target setting.You will own the financial case. Evaluate and analyse logistic related investments with senior stakeholders. Prepare senior management meetings for investment decisions
• Report and track the development of CAPEX spending and explain deviations against the plan. Increase controlling capabilities in the area of investments.
• Working autonomously with our data to create new metrics and reports and maintain existing ones in close cooperation across all business units (Finance, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Development, Real Estate, Architecture & Construction, Legal, Indirect Procurement, Facility Management and other departments)
• Coming up with meaningful insights and deriving data-driven solutions for our operational departments. Increase transparency through continuously improving our tooling and reporting landscape.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement best-practices to maximize reliability and efficiency of our processes
